ספארי בדרום אפריקה – קרוגר ספטמבר 2019

אנחנו לא יכולים להתאפק, ויוצאים שוב לספארי.

והפעם טיול מעגלי (יוצאים  משדה Eva's Fields וחוזרים לאותו המקום), כמו בטיול של יוני 2018.

תאריכים:

• הגעת הטייסים לדרום אפריקה  שדה Pietermaritzbourg – PZB:  תאריך הגעה 16 בספטמבר 2019
• קורס Bush Flying והסמכה על המטוס 17-18 בספטמבר
• הגעת הנוסעים לדרום אפריקה 18 בספטמבר
• יציאה לספארי 19 בספטמבר – נקודת יציאה Eva's Fields
• חזרה לנקודת המוצא 25 בספטמבר
• טיסה הביתה 26 בספטמבר (אפשר ב 25 לקראת הערב)

יש לנו 4 מטוסי אולטראלייט – טייס ונוסע בכל מטוס

כמובן שאפשר לאכלס כל מטוס גם בשני טייסים שמתחלפים בהטסה.

כמה הערות חשובות מאד

כל התכנית מתבצעת על ידי בית הספר של קרייג לאנג. התכנית, התשלומים ענייני רישוי, ביטוח – הכל באחריותו.

קרייג הוא איש מדהים, עושה את הכל לבד ולכן הוא אחראי להכל. הוא מדריך אותנו, מארגן את הטיול, טס בראש הטיול – הכל.

אין לו סוכן בארץ, מניסיון עשיתי את זה מולו, אין שום בעיה!

אנחנו מטיסים את המטוסים, למעט המטוס המוביל שאותו מטיס קרייג. מי שטס עם קרייג יכול להטיס את המטוס (מאחור או מקדימה) ולא נדרש לשם כך רישיון.

טייסים עם רשיון טייס ישראלי (או זר) וניסיון על מטוסים קלים יוכלו לעשות הכשרה קצרה ולהטיס את המטוסים. ההכשרה מתקיימת בשדה היציאה ואורכת יומיים. התמחור אינו כולל את ההכשרה הזו, שאורכה תלוי בניסיונו של כל טייס.

כדי להוציא רשיון חובה להציג:
1. רשיון טיס
2. תעודה רפואית בתוקף
3. תעודת מפעיל רדיו (R/T)
4. לוגבוק שבו יש לפחות 5 שעות טיסה בשנה החולפת (חלקן יכולות להיות בתהליך ההכשרה)

התכנית כולה היא בסיס לשינויים, בעיקר בגלל בלת"מים שקשורים למזג האוויר. אנחנו מגיעים באביב, שהוא סוף העונה הנוחה לטיסות. המטוסים לא טסים בכל מזג אוויר ולכן יתכנו שינויים.

מתאכסנים בלודג'ים בדרך. שנים בחדר. אל תצפו למלונות פאר, לפחות חניה אחת היא במלון אוהלים. לא הייתי שם, נראה שיהיה נפלא.

אי אפשר לקחת הרבה מטען. בעצם אי אפשר לקחת מטען בכלל… -7-8 קילו לאדם, זה מה שיש – ומסתדרים. אפשר לכבס במלונות.

שימו לב לתנאי התכנית, מה כלול ומה לא, תנאי הביטול (בגדול אין…). כתובים באנגלית למטה.

ואולי הכי חשוב – זוהי חווית חיים, לא פחות!!!

מחיר

עד 5000$ למשתתף, שימו לב מה זה כולל ומה לא (למטה בדף, באנגלית). המחיר אינו כולל את קורס Bush Flying

צריך להוסיף סכום מסויים לביטוח, לביטול השתתפות עצמית. זה לא משהו משמעותי.

תכנית מפורטת:

16 בספטמבר

הגעת הטייסים יש להגיע לשדה (PZB Pietermaritzburg) איסוף מהשדה על ידי קרייג, לינה בוילה/מלון בקרבת מקום.

17-18 בספטמבר: קורס Bush Flying

הקורס מיועד לטייסים בעלי רשיון בתוקף על כל מטוס שהוא. יש מטוס אחד עם גלגל זנב, ומי שמתוכנן לטוס עליו רצוי שיהיה בעל ניסיון בסוג כזה של מטוס. אין צורך ברשיון או ניסיון בהטסת אז"מ (אולטראלייט).

יוצאים משדה הבית וטסים לחוף. מהיכרותי עם קרייג, כנראה נעצור על החוף היכנשהו ורק אחר כך נמשיך…

EVA’S FIELD TO WHITE ELEPHANT GAME LODGE
Depart Eva’s Field in the morning, routing along the Tugela River to the coast, and northwards towards Zululand. Lunch break and refuel in Hluhluwe, before the flight to White Elephant Game Lodge. 220nm, +-3.5hrs flying time.

Depart White Elephant after breakfast, route around Swaziland to Manyeleti Game Reserve, bordering the greater Kruger Park Reserves.

Accommodation in Honeyguide Tented Camps. 220nm, +- 3.5 hours flying time

יום ללא טיסה. אני יודע… זה נשמע מוזר, שהרי באנו לטוס. אבל ביום הזה לא ממש נחים אלא יוצאים לספארי רכוב.

מנסיוני, יום כזה יכול להיות מרענן ונוח להתארגנות, ואם רוצים, אז אפשר לעשות איזו טיסת שקיעה…

MANYELETI GAME RESERVE. Non-flying day spent on Game Drives and walks in the Bush.

MANYELETI TO MADIKWE GAME RESERVE. Depart early from Manyeleti, routing via Modimolle to Madikwe, home to Africa’s Big 5, and massive populations of elephant.

Afternoon Game Drive, and then overnight at Rhulani Safari Lodge. 300nm, +-4.5 hours flight time

MADIKWE. Non-flying day. Full day in Madikwe. Morning and afternoon Game Drives.

Overnight at Rhulani Safari Lodge.

MADIKWE TO DESTINY CASTLE – We depart early, stopping for brunch and fuel at Parys airfield on route to Destiny Castle.

Land at the incredible Destiny Castle Airstrip, perched atop a sandstone cliff. Overnight either at Destiny Castle, or Union House at the base of the mountain. 260nm, 4.5hrs flight time.

DESTINY CASTLE TO EVA’S FIELD, HILTON – We depart after breakfast, routing via Bethlehem for fuel before heading back to our base at Eva’s Field. Overnight at The Old Hotel in Curry’s Post. 200nm, +-3.5hrs flying time.

Included in the Rates:

 20 hours of Safari Flying. This is the minimum number of hours for the Safari, and are not refundable should the Safari be affected by weather or other circumstances beyond our control. Any extra hours flown will be billed at the standard rate of $220/hr.
 Includes all meals and accommodation while on Safari. (Please note this does not include the cost of accommodation prior to or after the completion of the Safari).
 Includes aircraft, fuel, instructor/safety pilot/s and all logistical backup services required while on safari.
 Collection and return from Pietermaritzburg Airport, and transfer to your accommodation prior to the Safari departure. We can collect and return to Durban Airport, by prior arrangement.
 Shuttle to and from Eva’s Field, our base.

Not Included in Rates:

 Accommodation prior to or after the 7 Day Flying Safari.
 Pilot License Validations and local flying prior to the Safari.
 License Validation administration fee is $100. Minimum 1 Hour validation test flight @$150
 Alcoholic beverages
 Additional hours flown
 Additional nights in particular accommodation due to being grounded by bad weather.
 $2500 Refundable Insurance Excess Deposit. This can be paid as part of the deposit when the reservation is confirmed, and will be credited to your bill or refunded, should there be no damage to the aircraft due to pilot error, during the Safari.
Terms and Conditions:
Unless you are an experienced taildragger or bush pilot, we highly recommend arriving 4 days prior to the start of your Safari, in order to complete your South African license validation, and participate in our Advanced Bushflying Course.
This involves approx. 10 hours of individual instruction on our Bush Planes (either Savage or Savannah), and provides you with the necessary skills and confidence to take on the adventure of Bush Flying in Africa. The cost of the course is $1850, and includes 10 hours of flying and 5 hours of briefings.
We provide comfortable accommodation nearby prior to and after the Safaris, and the cost is $75 per night per person, meals included.
As far as possible, we remain on schedule, but do not take risks with weather. We fly strictly VFR, and the guide/instructors make the final decision on weather and other conditions.
In the event we are required to spend an additional night/s, these are billed as extras. We do as far as possible try to get refunds for nights not spent on route, but this is not guaranteed.
If lodges listed are not available for the specific Safari Dates, African Bushflying Safaris has the right to choose alternative accommodation in the similar area.
A payment of 50% of the full Safari cost is required to confirm the Safari. The balance is due prior to arrival.
