חוויה של פעם בחיים (לפחות…)

אחרי ההצלחה המדהימה של הטיול הקודם בדרום אפריקה (ראו קישור כאן) אנו יוצאים למסע אווירי במטוסי אולטראלייט בנמיביה, בחודש יוני 2019.

במסע משתתפים 4 מטוסים, 3 טייסים ו 4 נוסעים לכל כיוון.

תהיינה שתי קבוצות, שתעשינה טיול זהה של 11 ימים, כ 40 שעות טיסה בסך הכל.

קבוצה 1 תבצע טיסה מדרום אפריקה לנמיביה:

3/6 הגעה של הטייסים שצריכים לעשות קורס. יש להגיע לשדה (PZB Pietermaritzburg) איסוף מהשדה על ידי קרייג, לינה בוילה בקרבת מקום.

4-5/6 – קורס.

5/6 הדעת שאר משתתפי הקבוצה הראשונה לשדה PZB, איסוף מהשדה ונסיעה לוילה.

6-16/6 טיול, סיום בווינדהוק נמיביה.

קבוצה 2

18/6 הגעה לווינדהוק/נמיביה,

19-29 טיול.

29/6 בלילה יציאה לכיוון הבית משדה PZB.

שני הסבבים זהים בתכולתם (למעט שינויים בזמן אמיתי בשל כוח עליון).

טייסים

אנחנו מטיסים את המטוסים, למעט המטוס המוביל שאותו מטיס קרייג.

טייסים עם רשיון טייס ישראלי (או זר) וניסיון על מטוסים קלים יוכלו לעשות הכשרה קצרה ולהטיס את המטוסים. ההכשרה מתקיימת בדרום אפריקה ואורכת מספר ימים. התמחור אינו כולל את ההכשרה הזו, שאורכה תלוי בניסיונו של כל טייס.

אין צורך ברשיון אולטראלייט – עושים אותו שם, בהתבסס על רשיון טיס

הערה: טייסים שצריכים הכשרה יכולים לעשות את זה בצמוד ליציאה לטיול, אין אפשרות לעשות הכשרה בנמיביה.

תכנית המסע – דרום אפריקה

המסע מתבסס על טיסה במטוסים דו מושביים מתוצרת Zlin (קישור לדף של ה'בובר'), טייס ונוסע. טסים בקבוצה, בהובלת קרייג לאנג, שהוא מדריך טיסה ובעל ניסיון עצום בטיסה באיזורים האלו. נוחתים להתרעננות, חילוץ אברים ונשנושים בערך כל שעה או כשרואים משהו ששווה לראות מקרוב.

במהלך הטיסה אנחנו נמצאים בקשר רדיו וקרייג משמש גם מדריך תיירים, מסמן לנו נקודות ציון מעניינות, חיות ועוד.

המטוסים הם בקטגוריית אולטראלייט, משקלם עד 600 ק"ג ולכן אנחנו מאד מוגבלים בציוד אותו נישא. כל משתתף יכול להביא תיק קטן שמשקלו עד 7 ק"ג. בדקנו, זה לגמרי אפשרי להסתדר עם מעט ציוד, אפשר לכבס במלונות שבדרך.

3/6 יום הכנות 1:

הגעת טייסים לקורס Bush Flying וביצוע הקורס

אודי ואיתן עשו קורס ראשונים והוסמכו

4-5/6 קורס Bush Flying. קורס בוש לירון ומודי.

5/6 יום הגעה קבוצה 1

הגעת טובי, עודד ואלון לדרום אפריקה, איסוף משדה התעופה PZB Pietermaritzburg, הסעה למקום הלינה.

6/6  היום הראשון:

יציאה לדרך, טיסה ל BETHULI בערך 4 שעות עם עצירות על פי הצורך.

SAFARI DAY 1 – EVA’S FIELD TO BETHULIE ON THE ORANGE RIVER

Depart Eva’s Field in the morning, routing south around Lesotho, flying parallal to the spectacular Drakensberg Mountain range, landing along the way for a bite to eat. We follow the Orange River from Aliwal North to Bethulie, where we overnight in the quaint Royal Hotel. We land on our personal runway on an abandoned Golf fairway in the historical town. 250nm, +- 4 hours flying time.

7/6 יום 2:

טסים ל THURU GAME LODGE, UPINGTON אחרי המראה מבתולי, עיר מעניינת עם הסטוריה חשובה בדרום אפריקה, נטוס לאורך סכר חריפ (Gariep). כשהמקומיים אומרים סכר הם מתכוונים לכל האגם שנוצר עקב בניית WALL, ואורכו של הסכר הענק הזה הוא כ 90 קילומטר. בהמשך טסים לאורך האורנג' ריבר.

We follow the spectacular Orange River, passing the two largest water reservoirs in South Africa, the Gariep and Vanderkloof Dams, stopping along the way to enjoy the scenery and some coffee. Highlights along this section include vast herds of wildlife including Oryx, Springbuck and Wildebeest as well as fantastic scenery as we follow the Orange River through the Karoo and into the red Kalahari sands. Overnight at Thuru Game Lodge. 280nm +-4.5hrs

8/6 יום 3:

על הבוקר עוברים את הגבול לנמיביה, ממשיכים בקניון ה FISH RIVER, בערך 5 שעות טיסה ביום זה.

Departing early, we clear Customs at Upington Int. Airport, before setting off for Keetmanshoop, gateway to Namibia. After clearing Customs, we head for the Fish River Canyon, landing at the Canyon Roadhouse, where we overnight. 315nm, +-5 hours flying time.

9/6 יום 4:

יום מנוחה.

לא ממש ננוח כי נטייל בקניון הפיש ריבר ברכב, ובערב נטוס בזמן השקיעה באיזור הקניון. מניסיון לעיתים מעדיפים לוותר על טיסה בערב וסתם להתפנק. נחליט במקום. בעצם כשאני רואה את התמונה כאן, אולי בכל זאת טיסת בין ערביים…

The day is spent relaxing and enjoying the Fish River Canyon, the world’s second largest Canyon system.

10/6 יום 5: מתחילים לחוות את נמיביה

CANYON ROADHOUSE TO SOLITAIRE, VIA SOSSUSVLEI, HOME TO HIGHEST SAND DUNES IN THE WORLD
After breakfast, we head into the heart of the Namib Desert, routing via Aus, home to the famous Wild Desert Horses (which we hope to see from the air), towards the huge sand dunes of the Namib Nauklift Park. We end the day at Solitaire, enjoying the incredible desert night sky. 270nm, 4.5 Hours flying

11/6 יום 6: טיסה בסביבה וחזרה לסוליטייר

SOLITAIRE AND SOSSUSVLEI.

Sunrise flight out over the desert, including the nearby Sossusvlei, home to the World’s highest sand dunes. Stopping for picnic breakfast, we spend the morning exploring the desert in our bushplanes. Overnight back at Solitaire. 180nm, +-2-3 Hours Flying time.

12/6יום 7:

SOLITAIRE TO Etendeka MOUNTAIN CAMP VIA SWAKOPMUND AND THE SKELETON COAST.

We head west to the Skeleton Coast, overflying the wreck of the Shaunee, and route along the coast past Walvis Bay to Swakopmund for some refreshment and fuel. We then continue up the coast, routing through the Messum meteorite Crater, passing the Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain at over 8000ft and into Damaraland, where we overnight in Etendeka Mountain Camp. 285nm, +-4.5 hrs flying time.

13/6 יום 8: יום ללא טיסות באזור קיפווה מוונדי.

מניסיוני אני יודע שאחרי כל כמה ימים צריך להרגיש קצת קרקע מתחת לרגליים.

מתעוררים מאוחר, יום עצל בסביבה. זו גם הזדמנות טובה להתעמק במקום, להכיר את האנשים והטבע.

אם לא נוכל להתאפק, נטוס בסביבה… קרייג רק צריך סיבה כדי לטוס.

14/6 יום 9:

KIPWE TO EPUPA .

We head north into the Kaokoveld, home of the desert elephants and black rhino, landing at the oasis of Palmwag for fuel, before routing into the heart of the Kunene region, the most harsh and remote part of Namibia. Breath-taking scenery, abundant wildlife including elephants make this part of the journey unforgettable.

We wind our way through rocky mountains ranges to the Kunene River on the Angolan border, where we overnight at the wonderful Epupa Camp. The Epupa Falls make this journey worthwhile. 265nm, +-4hrs flying.

15/6 יום 10:

EPUPA TO ONGUMA GAME RESERVE, ETOSHA

We depart Epupa camp, routing east along the Kunene river and then south-east towards the Etosha National Park, landing at Onguma Game reserve on the eastern edge of Etosha. Highlights of this leg include the Kunene River, Ruacana Falls and the vast woodlands of Ovamboland. 265nm, +-4hrs Flying time.

16/6 יום 11: סיום 🙁

ONGUMO TO WINDHOEK
We fly to Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, where we finish the Safari, and join up with the pilots who will fly the return legs. 240nm, 3.5 hrs. We overnight in Windhoek.

יוצאים מבתוולי וטסים את הקטע האחרון. עוברים בהרים הגבוהים של גבול לסוטו וממשיכים לכיוון היעד. סביב הצהרים המאוחרים נגיע ל Eva's Field, המראה הביתה (יתכן שרק למחרת בבוקר) משדה התעופה PZB Pietermaritzburg

מחירים

המחירים מניחים 38 שעות טיסה לכל מטוס, ובמקרה של ביצוע בפועל מעבר למספר שעות זה – יושלם ההפרש.

חשוב!!! התכנית כולה מבוצעת על ידי חברה בחו"ל, אנחנו מארגנים את המסע, וההתקשרות כולה מול בית הספר בדרום אפריקה

המחירים אינם כוללים את:

1. הטיסות למקום תחילת המסע וכן את הטיסות מסיום המסע.
2. הכשרת טייסים לרשיון מקומי
3. לינה וכלכלה מעבר לתאריכי התכנית (אלו מכוסים מהמראה ראשונה עד נחיתה אחרונה בטיול)

המחירים הנ"ל תלויים בהשתתפות קבוצה מלאה הכוללת 2 טייסים וארבעה נוסעים. במקרה שהקבוצה לא תהיה מלאה, המחירים יותאמו.

תנאי תשלום:

מחיר ההשתתפות בטיול למשתתף

1. בקבוצה של 3 מטוסים יהיה 8200$
   בקבוצה של 4 מטוסים 7300$ למשתתף
   לא כולל טיסות אל/מאפריקה.
   יתכנו שינויים קלים במחיר.
2. חצי מהתשלום ישולם עד תאריך קרוב
3. שאר הסכום ישולם עד שבועיים לפני היציאה.

אני מזכיר שהתכנית כולה באחריות בית הספר של קרייג לאנג, ולכם התנאים ומדיניות הביטולים מפורטים כאן באנגלית.

:Included in the Rates

 Includes 38 hours of Safari Flying. This is the minimum number of hours for the Safari, and are not refundable should the Safari be affected by weather or other circumstances beyond our control. Any extra hours flown will be billed at the standard rate .
 Includes all meals and accommodation – two per room/tent while on Safari. (Please note this does not include the cost of accommodation prior to or after the completion of the Safari).
 Includes aircraft, fuel, instructor/safety pilot/s and all logistical backup services required while on safari.
 Collection and return from Pietermaritzburg Airport, and transfer to your accommodation prior to the Safari departure. We can collect and return to Durban Airport, by prior arrangement.
 Shuttle to and from Eva’s Field, our base.

Not Included in Rates:

 Accommodation prior to or after the Flying Safari.
 Entry fees into Parks
 Pilot License Validations and local flying prior to the Safari.
 License Validation administration fee is $100. Minimum 1 Hour validation test flight @$150
 Alcoholic beverages
 Additional hours flown
 Additional nights in particular accommodation due to being grounded by bad weather.
 $3000 Refundable Insurance Excess Deposit. This can be paid as part of the deposit when the reservation is confirmed, and will be credited to your bill or refunded, should there be no damage to the aircraft due to pilot error, during the Safari.

Terms and Conditions:

Unless you are an experienced taildragger or bush pilot, we highly recommend arriving 4 days prior to the start of your Safari, in order to complete your South African license validation, and participate in our Advanced Bushflying Course.
This involves approx. 10 hours of individual instruction on our Bush Planes (either Savage or Savannah), and provides you with the necessary skills and confidence to take on the adventure of Bush Flying in Africa. The cost of the course is $1650, and includes 10 hours of flying and 5 hours of briefings.
We provide comfortable accommodation nearby prior to and after the Safaris, and the cost is $75 per night per person.
As far as possible, we remain on schedule, but do not take risks with weather. We fly strictly VFR, and the guide/instructors make the final decision on weather and other conditions.
In the event we are required to spend an additional night/s, these are billed as extras. We do as far as possible try to get refunds for nights not spent on route, but this is not guaranteed.
If lodges listed are not available for the specific Safari Dates, African Bushflying Safaris has the discretion to choose alternative accommodation in the similar area.
A payment of 50% of the full Safari cost is required to confirm the Safari. The balance is due prior to arrival.
